Synopsis
Clarissa is a lawyer in her mid 40s. Her job requires her to travel across the border between two countries. The checkpoint she passes through every week is run by officer Gianluca, whom she spends time with among coffee and small talk. Their ritual is disturbed when Mathieu, a new officer, conducts a search of her car. For the first time, in this tiny military base in the middle of nowhere, Clarissa must face the Law. The same Law she thought she could bend. “Beyond the Border” is the story of an encounter suspended between two Nations. A story about the absurdity of the invisible lines that divide people.
