Malfé Film is an independent film production company based in Turin. Our name—borrowed from Roman Polanski’s comment about Cassavetes’s cinema: “Mal Fait” he said, a cheeky term for “poorly made” cinema. For us, it stands as a badge of honor for creative freedom, bold experimentation, and auteur-driven storytelling. That’s why Malfé. Our editorial line merges artistic ambition with solid production values, and our films have been selected and awarded at prestigious festivals such as the Venice Film Festival, Festival dei Popoli, Thessaloniki IFF, and FIPADOC. In 2025, our short film Domenica Sera, co-produced with EiE Film and Imago VFX, won the David di Donatello for Best Short Film—a milestone for us in the heart of Italian cinema.
