Data controller
Malfe Film S.r.l., Via Parma 51, 10153 Torino, VAT no. IT 11466970016, REA TO-1216063. Contact: malfe@malfe.it.
Data processed by the website
This is a static website without personal accounts, payment systems or restricted areas. Contacts may be collected for a mailing list only when the user gives optional, specific consent, separate from their main enquiry. Browsing may involve the technical processing of connection data, including IP address, request date and time, requested page, user agent and similar technical data, handled by the hosting provider for security, service delivery and maintenance.
Italian and English versions have separate addresses. Language selection does not require cookies or browser storage.
Data submitted through forms
The “Work with us” and “Submit a project” pages contain forms for professional applications and collaborations, and for project proposals respectively. In this version of the website, the forms prepare an email addressed to Malfe Film, which the user can review and send from their own email application.
The requested information may include name, email address, city or country, area of collaboration, role, project title and stage, links to external materials and a free-text message. This information is processed only to respond to the enquiry, consider possible collaborations or projects and manage any subsequent professional relationship.
Communications may be organised internally by channel and enquiry status, including through email filters, labels or automatic replies, without automated commercial profiling.
Mailing list
Forms may include an optional checkbox for updates from Malfe Film about films, projects, events and cultural activities. Mailing list consent is separate from the permission needed to receive a response: users may submit an application or a proposal without joining the mailing list.
Where consent is given, Malfe Film may retain the email address and the minimum information needed to record the subscription and manage updates. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by writing to malfe@malfe.it or using an unsubscribe link, if available through the mailing service used.
Purposes and legal bases
Technical browsing data is processed to provide the website, maintain its security, prevent abuse and meet any legal obligations. The legal bases are the controller's legitimate interest in website security and proper operation, and applicable legal obligations.
Data voluntarily submitted by email or through forms is processed to respond to enquiries, consider collaborations and projects or manage a professional relationship. Any mailing list subscription is based on the user's consent.
Email enquiries
If a user writes to the email addresses published on the website or sends an email prepared by a contact form, Malfe Film processes the information voluntarily provided to respond to the enquiry, manage the professional relationship or consider a collaboration or project proposal.
Providing data
Technical browsing data is necessary to access the website. Providing data by email or through forms is optional, but it may not be possible to respond without the necessary information. Mailing list consent is always optional.
Third-party services
Trailers and links to external platforms, including YouTube, Vimeo, Streeen, Zalab View, CinemaItaliano.info, Instagram, LinkedIn and publishers' or partners' websites, are not loaded automatically as embedded players. A video player opens only following a voluntary user action. From that point, the respective providers' privacy notices also apply.
Images and fonts are hosted on our web space. Viewing pages does not require the browser to load images or fonts from third-party websites. Festival information is updated during maintenance and published as website content, without embedding the source pages.
Recipients and transfers
Technical browsing data may be processed by the hosting provider and technical maintenance providers. When a user opens an external link or loads a video player, processing is also governed by the terms of those services, which may be located outside the European Economic Area.
Retention
Technical server logs are retained for as long as necessary for security, maintenance and investigation of possible abuse, in accordance with the hosting provider's configuration and applicable obligations.
Emails received through the forms are retained for the time needed to handle the enquiry and any subsequent relationship. Mailing list addresses are retained until consent is withdrawn or contacts that are no longer relevant are periodically removed.
Profiling and automated decisions
Malfe Film does not use the website to profile users, display behavioural advertising or make decisions based solely on automated processing.
Your rights
Data subjects may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection to processing and portability in the circumstances provided by Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Requests can be sent to malfe@malfe.it. A complaint may also be lodged with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
